Cursive - The Great Decay |

Friday I went to the Attitudes Bar and Cafe and saw my first indie show since...yeah, Cursive. Oh but not before I rode ont he back of a moped for lunch at an off-campus Chinese restaurant. Saturday was fun...and then Sunday spelled my doom with a trip to Roanoke because I got Tekken 5. Luckily it's not in my possession at the moment, otherwise I wouldn't get any homework done =/ Oh and Monday I got a ridiculous amount of sub sandwich at Macados...which was followed the movie Constantine. It was a pretty good movie...I was in love with the effects they used for the angel wings. *_* And the most recent news is that I am feeling sick. I went to the student health center yesterday for an appointment and got some medication. The current shortage is of tissues T_T Sadness. Annnd I need to cancel the other appointment I made for later this week because I'm going home for Spring Break next week =D Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee I have no idea what I'm going to do there but wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *coughsniffle* -.-v

- Went to all my classes

- Took a nap (+) but missed dinner and someone even more
The going to classes thing isn't out of the ordinary...I've only missed so far this semester and don't intend on missing any again...except around Katsu time >.> It's just that the majority of my day seemed to be devoted to class. XP The art of Les Bijoux still amazes me...the ending felt kinda rushed though...appropriate but rushed. Finding Neverland was wonderful and I'd recommend it to anyone. Note to self: find where they put the ATM tomorrow. There's only so many places they can hide it on campus!

Which is good because the beginning of the week sucked. A lot. But anyways yeah...Friday I only had one class at 12:20pm which let out early. So I slept until it was time for the Kurabu Nippon meeting in the lounge of a nearby dorm. While helping make curry I met lots of new people and got reaquainted with those that I lost touch with when I disappeared from the later meetings of last semester >.> We karaoke-d using my microphones and games for a while, then got ice cream at Deets around 11pm...and if that wasn't enough fun for one night I then went to visit Jason in West AJ and was educated in Smash Bros Melee by him and his hallmate Mike (after some Soul Calibur first XD). Ahhh good night.
Saturday I found pearls for a cosplay and bought a ridiculous amount of manga =D I wanted to get my hair cut but the snow was getting bad outside so the mall closed by 5pm XP I guess I'll just wait until later this week. *shrug* Later on I stretched and sparred a little at tae kwon do free practice...which was to be followed by video games in the Slusher Wing lounge. <3
And I actually woke up before noon today O_O Had breakfast, went to Capoeira practice and learned a nifty headstand trick, in addition to reviewing all the other techniques we learned last semester. Ever since I've pretty much kept in my room since it's all snowy and slushy outside.
La la la...I can't wait for Katsucon. It is going to be awesome =D After I figure out how/when I'm getting there >.< But anyways, enough of that. Gotta finish studying Economics and Japanese for tomorrow's classes....oh and sorry if this was boring but I couldn't neglect my LJ any longer and it needed a good sexing update. Besides this weekend rocked and I felt the need to report it somehow =D

I came back home on Friday, and I've pretty much kept busy since...which is good because Thanksgiving break was SO boring. I almost went insane. On Saturday my sister tested for her black belt in tae kwon do, and did a really great job ^_^ We arrived early and she was practicing for an hour or so before the test actually began, so she was really tired when it was all over. Our neighbors across the street also had their kids testing so afterward we all went to Daks for dinner. Later that night my parents went to a Christmas party so I stayed home with Audrey and we karaoke-d on my PS2 XD Sunday I went Christmas shopping with my dad...to get some things for my mom and to get my ipod since apparently he had no idea what it was >.> We checked like 3 stores but the 20gb ones were all sold out so I ordered one online today. On Monday I went cosplay shopping with Maki ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) hontowa <3 And we found a lotta stuffs for our W costumes ^_^v muahaha accomplishment. Yesterday I went to 2 tae kwon do classes. And it was good. And God said to Abram, "You will kill your brother." To which Abraham repli--*cough* sorry I digress. Uhmmm oh yes. Today I went Christmas shopping with a one Pat Gallagher and had many much fun times. When I got back I left to eat at Sakura with my family. Tonight I'll most likely video game (it's a verb now) and read manga. I just finished reading Only the Ring Finger Knows. SO good. I really want to check out the novels by the author now...

Well, here I am at Virginia Tech. Actually, I arrived last Wednesday, and officially moved in Thursday. Since then I've kept busy by talking with people in my dorm wing, playing video games, and walking around campus. Sunday I walked around to find where all my classes are, and felt really proud when I didn't get lost LOL ^-^;
Today was my first day of classes. Five classes total, the first one being my calculus class at 8:00am X_X I made it there early though, and then went back to my room and packed the stuff for my 10:10 class and the 2 after it. In order, those three classes were Economics, Psychology, and Biology. Economics and Psychology seemed easy and/or enjoyable, while Biology seemed easy but boring. -.- Plus as I was sitting there all I could do was count the minutes until class ended because that building has food in it and I'll probably be eating lunch there every Monday. Anyways, I ordered a sandwich and some soup from the au bon pain there and headed back to my room, ate it and then sleeeeeeept until 4:00pm when I had to start getting ready for my Japanese class -_-ZzZzZz
SO many extra people showed up at Japanese class who weren't officially signed up for it, and were trying to force-add themselves. People might drop the class, but probably after a week or two. This one guy made me laugh outloud when I heard him talking before class: "Is this easier than Spanish?" Bahaha. I forsee a class drop. But anyways, we have a lady teacher named Yumiko Younos ^_^ She's forever saying "ano...." and "desu" even while talking to us in English hehe Although she did speak in Japanese a good amount today. We have a hiragana worksheet for homework tonight. It's so cute. Afterward I took the bus to a cute little Japanese restaurant called Kobe and had shrimp, broccoli, rice, carrots, and then red bean ice cream for dessert *____* It was soooo good. And it was my "congrats-on-making-it-through-your-first-day-of-class" present from me to me. LOL *ala Emperor's New Groove* I'm so happy ;_;
Tomorrow I have one class at 2:00pm and a taekwondo club meeting at 8:30 with a practice~yaaaaaay! Although walking to class today was quite a workout in itself...lol no joke. But anyways, I finally took pictures of my room, resized, and uploaded them. So click the link below if you're curious ^_~ There was too much to carry today to take pictures of the campus. And in the morning I really wanted to because while crossing the drillfield this morning there was a thick fog everywhere and it was really cool. Anyway, I think I have everyone's contact info and vice versa, but if you still need it just e-mail me or leave a note.

Been busy as hell lately, shopping for college and preparing to leave. I had 3 doctor-type appointments Wednesday. NOT FUN. Why is it that the finger-pricking is the most painful part? It had to be done twice for some reason...X_X My right index finger is still tender. ;_; I have 5 days left, and there are so many people I want to see before I leave, even if it's for a minute. *sigh* In news unrelated to my life, today was a mixed day for homosexuals:
1. The California Supreme Court nullified the same-sex marriages that had taken place in the past few months (nearly 4,000!) in San Francisco.
2. New Jersey governor James McGreevey resigned after admitting he'd had an extramarital affair with a man. Unlike with the first bit of news, here I'm having a hard time deciding whether this one is a step forward or a step back. I know he's resigning to take care of his personal life and famliy, but it'll seem to other people that he's resigning just because he's gay or something. However, a redeeming quality of his press conference confessional was that he stated, "I am a gay American." Yay for a wake-up call for America and shattering stereotypes.

Hmm where to start...well Wednesday night I slept over Maki's house and we left the next morning to help set up the booth and whatnot. We were assigned to work the gundam and figurine section this time, and helped create the massive WALL OF GUNDAMS *dundundun* lol But after a long day of selling stuff on Friday we had dinner and then played a karaoke game on someone's PS2 which was a lot of fun. I want that game now... On Saturday I was able to meet up with some of the yakuza and Boueginya, Juan, Luna-P, and Kana-P but only briefly T_T Then at 3:30-ish I went to the L'arc~en~Ciel concert with Rich, Maki, and Rae ^_^ The wait outside in the sun was killer, but the show was well worth it, even if our seats weren't the best and we were the only enthusiastic fans in our area ^_^;;; We were able to see everything the band did~I especially loved Hyde's teasing of the fans in front by holding out his hands and feet *just* out of their reach LOL But seriously...Hyde's vocals were awesome and the band put their all into the show. They played some of my favorite songs like Heaven's Drive, Pieces, Feeling Fine, Seppun, Honey, Blurry Eyes, Jiyuu e no Shotai, and Driver's High. XD XD XD Afterward everyone went to dinner and then to see The Village, which was...interesting. But due to the distance of our hotel from the con center, I couldn't hang out with everyone that I had seen earlier as much as I would have liked. Oh well...next con, I suppose. On Sunday things winded down and we packed up, then headed to Friday's for dinner. I didn't really do the con justice in that short report, but you get the basic idea. I had a great time due to the Laruku concert, all the fun people I was working with, and how I got to meet so many other friends. I can't wait for Otakon 2005! ^_^ *Edit: Oh and I added everyone I could to my friends list...if I met you and didn't add you, then I didn't know your journal address or couldn't find it. Today after tae kwon do, I visited the wonderful hostess beatific, who prepared all the items needed for us to make our own sushi before watching Lost in Translation.

I had the most fun I've had since...probably the last time I was at Lauren's house. =) But it was definitely an afternoon of firsts...the first time I ever made sushi, the first time I had ever seen Lost in Translation (loved it), and the first time I had not been addicted to the slot machine in Lauren's basement.
So Lauren...when should we get "lost"?

After a lot of fussing, my lj is finally customized...yay! The layout features hyde from his most recent solo work 666. I've had the songs on my computer for a while, but I finally ordered it and so now I've been listening to it like crazy. I couldn't decide which to put up because the mask one fits the song better, but I didn't want to cover hyde's lovely face =/ *sigh* Tell me if I should change it...
Things have been pretty busy...I've been preparing a cosplay for Otakon, babysitting(woo! $$$!), learning to crochet, and shopping. Also, my aunt just came to visit. Which is interesting because if my father knew he'd flip...four years ago they had a big argument and he's made it clear that he doesn't want her visiting anymore. But since he's away at the Democratic National Convention, no worries...she just has to leave before he gets back >.>
Tuesday I leave for orientation at Virginia Techwith my mom and grandma...leaving my sister and aunt here. Which is ok because I haven't had much to say to my aunt since she got here anyway...I'm tired of hearing all of her guilt trips. Anyways, I'll be comming back on Friday, early afternoon probably. The car trip is going to be loooooooong X_X Oh well, I suppose that'll give me time to catch up on manga.
